Kinship Women

The Principals
“Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.” - The Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
To support the rights of all Lesbians and Bisexual Women within our community and to address and advocate concerning lesbian and bi women's issues i.e.: isolation within our service and to involve them in our community of Kinship.
Who's involved?
Lesbians, bi women and their partners who are of a Seventh-Day Adventist background and those who are friends and families.
How often do we meet?
We meet prior to the Australian and US based Kampmeeting and when the need arises to support each other and make new friends.
History
About 10 years ago it was realized that lesbians and bi women needed a Support Group within the group as a whole. It was felt that lesbians and bi women in the movement being a minority group should also have the support of the larger group to address the issues surrounding isolation in our services. As a community we also felt that we needed to cultivate and foster this.
How do I join this group!
You can join SDA Kinship Australia on the joining page or join here.
